RCBC encounters own tech glitch; online channels down

 

The digital bug has found its newest victim.

Customers of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation and RCBC Savings Bank temporarily lost access to online channels after some “technical difficulties” encountered by the Yuchengco-owned firms.

The banks made the announcement on Saturday, Aug. 12 on Facebook, adding that the tech problem may also affect transactions done via automated teller machines.

The bank said online access was restored the same night, but checking its webpage on Monday noon showed otherwise.

After BDO, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Security Bank, and RCBC, we wonder: will there be a next bank to see the same issue?
