MVP Group starts construction of NLEX Harbor Link R10
NLEX Corp. is spending P6 billion for the construction of the 2.5 kilometer elevated expressway which will run from C3 in Caloocan Ciry to Navotas City.
The company on Tuesday broke ground for R-10, which is the continuation of the P10.5 billion 5.7 kilometer Segment 10, an elevated expressway passing through MacArthur Highway in Valenzuela City, Governor Pascual Avenue in Malabon city and C3 road/5th Avenue in Quezon City.
Rodrigo Franco, president and CEO of NLEX said the R-10 section is designed to provide direct access between the port area and the northern provinces of Luzon via NLEX.
He said the Valenzuela to C3 section of the NLEX Harbor Link is targeted to be completed by the first quarter of next year while the R-10 section is expected to be finished by the fourth quarter of 2018.
Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said the project is expected to improve transport logistics and drive investments in the Caloocan-Malabon-Navotas and Valenzuela areas and the Central and North Luzon provinces.
