PAGCOR partners with rehab for gambling addicts

It?s never too late to step away from gaming tables.

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) isn?t all about making profits from gamblers. In fact, the gaming operator and regulator wants to look after the well-being of players and high-rollers.

In a statement, PAGCOR said it has partnered with the Bridges of Hope and Life Change Recovery Center in providing help to people who have become too attached to gambling.

?Casino patrons with gambling problems will now be given more options to seek
professional help and start anew,? PAGCOR said.

The agreement sets up a referral system for gamblers who need to deal with an addiction to gaming, where they will receive life coaching, counselling, and even in-house rehabilitation services.
