Former DOF greats pledge support for TRAIN


The ex-ministers have spoken.

Former Finance secretaries assured incumbent chief Carlos Dominguez III of their support for the Comprehensive Tax Reform Program (CTRP) of the Duterte administration.

Ex-Secretaries Roberto de Ocampo, Salvador Enriquez, Margarito Teves, and Alberto Romulo vouched for the tax reform agenda, saying that it was bound to make the Philippine economy healthier and better.

Former undersecretaries Romeo Bernardo, Lily Gruba, and Cornelio Gison also joined the solidarity meeting over lunch held at the Ayuntamiento de Manila building of the Bureau of the Treasury in Intramuros, Manila.

Former finance chiefs Cesar Purisima and Jose Pardo also extended their support in writing, while ex-Secretary Jose Isidro Camacho joined the bunch via a conference call.

The former chiefs said the tax reform plan “encourages equitable and inclusive growth, a competitive business environment, and strong countryside development.?
