DOF wants Korean funding for 6 infra projects

Another Asian country is expected to support the local infrastructure boom.

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III cozied up with Korean Ambassador Han Dong-Man as he hopes to get Seoul to fund more projects under “Build, Build, Build.”

Dominguez and Han sat down for a meeting ahead of President Rodrigo Duterte’s visit to South Korea in June 2018.

In a statement, Dominguez said he hopes to get “at least six Philippine projects” to receive funding from the Export-Import Bank of Korea-Economic Development Cooperation Fund.

“Under this arrangement, the Philippines can access Korea?s loan facility under the EDCF up to an amount not exceeding $1 billion over a five-year period until 2022,” the Finance department said.
