BSP looking into ‘bingot’ Roxas on P100 bills

The central bank wants to see it with their own eyes first.

Months after a faceless ex-President Manuel Roxas were printed in several P100 bills comes yet another printing booboo involving the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

A netizen submitted a photo of P100 bills withdrawn from an automated teller machine, this time with a cleft palate (bingot) on Roxas’ face.

The BSP, however, said they want to verify first if the bills are legitimate.

“The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas has noted social media posts referring to alleged misprinted P100-piso banknotes and is looking into the matter,” the central bank said in a Tweet.

What a surprise!
