China-funded bridges to break ground within H2

The warmer ties with Beijing will be paying off soon enough.

The Department of Finance said construction work for three infrastructure projects funded by Chinese grants will be breaking ground between July to December of 2018.

In a report by Business World, the agency said work will start on the P4.61-billion Binondo-Intramuros bridge and the P1.37-billion Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge in Metro Manila.

The P4.37-billion Chico River Pump Irrigation Project will also be started during the semester.

Other major projects to be started include the first segment of the Mindanao railway, as well as the Panguil Bay bridge funded by South Korea.
