Driver-cum-thief scouting Makati villages for victims
Even the rich and famous of the Metro can’t sleep too well these days.
A public advisory circulating on Facebook is out to warn exclusive villages and subdivisions against this man, who is targeting these communities and their money.
In a statement reportedly from the manager of the posh Urdaneta Village, an old lady residing along Apartment Ridge was strangled by her driver of one month and robbed off P300,000 worth of cash and jewelry on the night of June 29, Friday.
The driver, said to be using different aliases, parked along Real Street in Urdaneta declaring an engine problem.
“The driver parked along Real Street, transferred to the backseat and held up the old lady. When the old lady resisted, the driver strangled her with a nylon cord until she passed out. At around 9pm, the old lady regained conciousness and was alone in her car at the corner of Fonda & Ayala (few steps from Urdaneta Village) the old lady then sought help,” read the post.
This was not the first time it happened, as the man had also robbed his previous employer and ran away with a car.
“For this reason, we are also sending his photo for your Security Alert. The suspect’s name is MICHAEL MARTINEZ y FRANCO although we are unsure if this is his real name. The case is still under investigation. Please alert your respective villages,” the statement went further.
