LTO starts releasing vehicle plates registered in July-Oct 2016
The Land Transportation Office has started releasing the first batch of motor vehicle plates, which were registered from July to October 2016.
LTO chief Edgar Galvante said the release of plates would be gradual.
“We ask the vehicle plate owners to wait for their notification. We do not want the owners to rush to the district offices only to find out that their plates are not yet there,” Galvante said.
Motorists who registered their vehicles prior to July 1, 2016 would need to wait longer for their plates as these are under a different contract with another supplier.
A total of 231,332 pairs of motor vehicle plates had been produced since June.
