PAGCOR deploys P5M for Ompong relief

This agency is quick to respond as other frontline offices.

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) joined government efforts to extend help to provinces and town hit by typhoon Ompong, with swift response in just one day after the heavy rains hit northern Luzon.

PAGCOR staff went to Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte and Benguet to hand out relief goods to affected locals.

?The agency initially allocated P5 million for the purchase of 10,000 relief packs which contained basic grocery items like rice, canned goods, coffee and potable water,? PAGCOR said in a statement.

It may not be their main mandate, but they know how to extend help where it is needed.
