Rural Bank of Tabuk gets a new name


This lender from Northern Luzon got a facelift this year.

The Rural Bank of Tabuk, Inc. based in Kalinga Apayao has secured central bank approval for a change in name.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) announced that the small lender will officially be called Bangko Monta?osa, Inc. (A Rural Bank) after the Securities and Exchange Commission approved the request.

The change in name was approved in April 25, 2018, and was authorized by BSP Deputy Governor Chuchi Fonacier via a Sept. 18 circular.
