When in London: Mark Villar, eco team pair Jollibee with Evian
The most shocking part: no rice!
Members of President Rodrigo Duterte’s economic team headed to London to woo British investors to keep coming to the Philippines. While there, the team took a side trip to visit the first-ever Jollibee store in London slated to open in October.
The men and women in business suits proudly posed with the big red bee and waved Philippine flaglets to celebrate the milestone of bilyonaryo Tony Tancaktiong. They also got to be the first customers of the store, where they were served two-piece Chickenjoys.
Unlike in the Philippines, the meals came sans a cup of rice and were paired with Evian, a brand of mineral water from France.
Congratulations to Jollibee Foods Corporation on your first Jollibee store in the United Kingdom! Jollibee continues to spread the joy of eating in other parts of the globe and to cater to our homesick overseas Filipinos and foreign friends. pic.twitter.com/ouQkgddrDp

This, however, drew some flak from netizens who took it as a sign that they were being too lavish.
Pota yung naka Evian at walang rice. Mga hangal!
