Ginalingan! Panglao airport best example of infra boom under Duterte — Dominguez
This administration is quick on their feet.
The New Bohol International Airport may have been an inherited project from the Aquino administration, but Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III said it is still the best sign that the Duterte government is really into the “Build, Build, Build” mantra.
In a statement, Dominguez heralded the progress on the Panglao airport before executives of the Standard Chartered bank on the sidelines of the Annual Meeting of the World Bank Board of Governors in Indonesia.
The Cabinet official said the project was only 5 percent complete in June 2016, but that they were able to catapult progress two years later.
“The original completion date for the airport during the previous administration was in 2021, which under President Duterte was moved up to 2018. As a result of the advanced schedule, the airport is now set to be ceremonially opened before the end of this year,” the Department of Finance said in a statement.
This administration is deffnitely owning this.
