HSBC’s online card app process wins Asian Banker award

The bank’s paperless strategy won big.

HSBC Philippines won The Best Productivity, Efficiency and
Automation Initiative, Application or Programme for 2018 at the prestigious The Asian Banker awards.

The global bank won the award for good gains it reaped from going digital in its credit card application process, which involves electronic signature and image-based ID collection.

“The bank?s Digital platform also allowed for quicker on-boarding of customers as the process becomes paperless,” HSBC said in a statement.

“The quicker end-to-end onboarding and reduced approval cycle time served to improve the customer experience. This was met with success in terms of increased sales force productivity and an increased annualised incremental benefit.”

Congratulations!
