Netizen decries harassment by Cocolife mall agents

He got taken for a ride.

A certain Michael Trinidad took to social media to expose Cocolife?s ?deceptive? tactics.

In a Facebook post, Trinidad recounted how he tried to keep his cool and stay nice when an agent of Cocolife walked up to him at SM Manila.

He said the agent successfully convinced him to drop a raffle coupon at Cocolife?s designated drop box. His ordeal didn?t end there though.

Another insurance agent from Cocolife made a sales pitch and threw a fit when Trinidad declined the offer.

“This time, she really forced me na to get the plan JUST FOR THE SAKE OF HER POINTS. IT’S FOR HER OWN BENEFITS NA. Hindi niya talaga ako tinitigilan hangga’t di ko tinatanggap yung offer niya. Hindi rin ako makalabas agad sa sobrang takot and ayokong magmukhang bastos sa ibang tao,” Trinidad said in his lengthy post.

He, however, agreed to purchase insurance on the premise he would get his money back as promised by the agent.

“This is for everyone’s awareness na Cocolife has a very deceptive strategy and don’t be like me na pinangunahan ng takot at hindi aware sa ganitong pangyayari. I’m stupid, I know but I learned my lesson,” the man said.

This drew mixed comments online, with some saying he should’ve stood his ground, refused the offer and walked away. Others, however, felt sorry for him.
