October inflation still high at 6.7%
The government said they are seeing some signs of easing in prices.
October inflation remained high at another 6.7 percent, the Philippine Statistics Authority said on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
This matches the nine-year high logged in September, although the month-on-month change in prices is now at 0.3 percent.
Food prices contributed more than half of the overall inflation rate, followed by housing and transport costs.
The original inflation target is 2-4 percent.
