ADB eyeing $400M aid for Marawi after exec visit
This top official personally looked at the rehabilitation efforts there.
Asian Development Bank (ADB) vice-president Stephen Groff got out of his headquarters in Mandaluyong to get on the field for a rare visit to Marawi City on Wednesday
Groff conducted a site visit on behalf of ADB, just as the multilateral lender is eyeing $400-million emergency relief package for the rehabilitation and rebuilding of the war-torn city in Mindanao.
“We are preparing a comprehensive assistance package that seeks to help ease the adverse social impact of the armed conflict on the city and its residents,” Groff said as he spoke to officials of the Task Force Bangon Marawi.
