ABS-CBN, GMA claim ratings leadership in November
Broadcasting giants ABS-CBN Corp. and GMA Network Inc. both claimed taking the top spot in TV ratings last month.
In a statement, the Lopez-led media conglomerate said it maintained its double-digit lead of 15 points against GMA after posting an average audience share of 45 percent.
ABS-CBN said it widened its lead in Mega Manila, logging in an average audience share of 37 percent versus GMA’s 29 percent.
It also pulled away from its competition in Metro Manila,l after registering a 43 percent share as against GMA’s 23 percent.
GMA, on the other hand, said it sustained its leadership in nationwide ratings, posting an average total day people audience share of 38.6 percent in the National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM).
It reportedly dominated the morning and afternoon blocks.
GMA likewise dominated the viewer-rich areas of Urban Luzon and Mega Manila, which respectively account for 72 and 59 percent of all urban viewers in the country.
