DM Consunji bags P12B new contracts in 2018
Contractor D.M. Consunji Inc.’s order book increased by 12 percent to P27.9 billion last year.
This as the company inked P12 billion new projects, the most notable of which is the first Ikea store in the Philippines and The Estate Makati.
A joint venture between SM Development Corp. and Federal Land, The Estate Makati is an ultra-luxury residential condominium that will be constructed using double slab technology, which will allow owners to fully customize the layout of their units.
Bulk of DMCI’s order book comprised building and infrastructure contracts worth P11.2 billion and P11.1 billion, respectively.
Energy projects amounted to P2.7 billion, while the value of plant and utilities contracts reached P2.9 billion.
Once completed, the Ikea outlet will be the biggest in the world at 65,000 square meters.
“Building pioneering structures is at the core of our DNA. We are grateful and excited to be part of these projects,” said DMCI president and CEO Jorge A. Consunji.
On a stand-alone basis, DM Consunji booked a 22 percent jump in profit last year to over P1.6 billion.
