Bullish on Metro Clark: John Gokongwei to develop integrated township
Robinsons Land Corp. wants to make its presence felt in what is considered to be the economic haven of Luzon.
The property arm of JG Summit Holdings Inc. unveiled plans to transform a 200-hectare land in Pampanga into a mixed-use estate that will have residential, commercial, hotel and industrial park components.
RLC acquired the property last year as part of its strategy to beef up its land holdings to ensure a pipeline of projects.
Its parent company JG Summit is part of a consortium that won a 25-year concession to operate and maintain the Clark International Airport.
“We really believe in the future of Clark. We acquired a significant land bank in Clark,” said Frederick D. Go, president and COO of RLC.
More firms have been developing new projects in Clark due to its strategic location. Clark Freeport Zone will be converted into a modern industrial estate and service and logistics hub by 2020.
