Our 10M members are all happy with 30% return! Kapa leader claims only oligarchs, banks, PCCI are complaining
A leader of the Kabus Padatoon (KAPA) Ministry International Inc. is claiming it has 10 million believers who are getting 30 percent monthly returns or “love gifts” or “blessings” on their investments or “donations” and not one of them are complaining.
KAPA spokesperson Danny Mangahas claimed that only the “oligarchs, banks, and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry” were complaining about their get-rich quick scheme for poor Filipinos, including overseas Filipino workers.
“Sino ba ang nagrereklamo? Mga oligarko, ‘yung mga tinatamaan ng KAPA, ‘yung mga banko, ‘yung PCCI, na sila mismo ang nauunang magreklamo sa Mindanao,” Mangahas said in a press conference.
“Sila ang nagasasabi na ang KAPA ay scam. Bakit kamo? Dahil tinatamaan ba ang negosyo nila?” he added.
President Rodrido Duterte the closure of KAPA because he believed its promise of a 30 percent monthly payout for its believers was “too good to be true.” Duterte called it a “pyramid scam” and its leader guilty of sydicated estafa.
But Mangahas disagreed.
“Umaapela kami, bakit ganoon. Masama ba tumulong ang isang religious organization sa mga mahibirap? Ano ang basehan nila para ipahold ang mga liabilities ng 10 milyon na miyembro ng KAPA,” said Mangahas amid the raids on KAPA offices and the house of its founder, Pastor Joel Apolinario.
