Megan Young’s sister hates that her fave Dubuc resto is now Chinese-only
“Is this even legal?,” actress Lauren Young asked as she made a buzz on Twitter.
Young, the sister of Miss World 2013 Megan Young, was sad to see her favorite restaurant in Subic close down, only to be replaced by this odd and discriminating spot.
She snapped a photo of the shop door which had a written sign that read: “Only for Chinese customer.”
Is this even legal? (My fave resto in Subic has been sold and this sign is up) I really want to know if business owners are allowed to do this.
If I had a restaurant am I allowed to put up these signs for example:
“Only for dog Customers”
“Only for Filipino Customers”

It’s particularly a hot topic recently as more Mainland workers flock to the Philippines, which is reportedly taking jobs away from Pinoys.
The tweet quickly went viral. Young’s vigilance may have paid off, as the shop took down the sign and replaced it a day later. Embarrassingly enough, the handwritten post now read: “Correction! We also serve Chinese food.”
Speaking up does work 😄. Will monitor to see if they change it again. pic.twitter.com/bqKGFzanH7

But Young isn’t buying it.
“Chinese customer VS Chinese Food seems pretty far off if you ask me!,” she tweeted the next day.

Her vigilance saved the day!
