Yanson family drama continues
The intracorporate dispute involving the Yanson Group of Bus Companies has taken another ugly turn.
Yanson Group president Roy Yanson claimed that his brother Leo Rey hired
In a statement issued Tuesday, Roy claimed that a security agency hired by his brother Leo Rey is blocking the entry of the company’s officers into the office compound in Bacolod City.
“The order of Leo Rey Yanson does violence against our rights as 55% majority shareholders of the company. It is usurpation of our functions as officers designated by majority board action,” Roy said
Roy added that Leo Rey and their mother, Olivia, could “not dictate on what the board and its majority members can or cannot do.”
“Leo Rey and Olivia Yanson do not have executive powers to run the company, hence, all their directives and instructions have no force or effect,” he said.
Roy also exposed that bus workers were asked to sign blank waivers, causing stress and panic among the poor laborers who are caught in the middle of the family crossfire.
